Doodling some nature or cool fantastical creatures is always my jam.
Graphic Novels and books have always been a big inspiration in my illustration journey.
Some notable illustrators whom I've looked up to are Georges Remi (TinTin)
Jeff Smith (Bone) Kazu Kibushi (Amulet) Junji Ito (Uzumaki) and Jillian and Mariko Tamaki.
I was always drawn to unique and beautiful book cover art which fueled my interest in illustration, especially today I feel so motivated and inspired by the work I see out there for books!
As an illustrator and graphic designer I love using rough, textured linework. I like to keep it looking raw and real but fantastical and tell a story in one bundle. My digital and analog work are both consistent with that style and I always aim to show some degree of fun in my illustrations.
That's a big factor of why I pursue illustration.. its the ability of conveying messages and stories in a thought provoking way. Same goes for graphic design. Its the little details that can change the meaning and outcome of a design.
